New “WWII Model” Limited Collection by FULLCOUNT

Denim pants and denim jackets made with 11.5oz denim available in 3 colors plus special finishes

A long-awaited model released in the new standard 11.5oz fabric

FULLCOUNT will release a new limited collection inspired by vintage jeans from World War II, commonly known among denim enthusiasts as the “WWII Model,” faithfully incorporating period-correct details.

FULLCOUNT has released several WWII Model series in the past, including a 30th anniversary model and a 2024 limited edition that intentionally omitted the final thread trimming to express an unfinished, semi-product look. While the brand’s regular staples and seasonal items enjoy steady popularity, the WWII Model series always generates major buzz upon release.

This time, the WWII Model is produced using the brand’s new standard 11.5oz denim. While FULLCOUNT has long used 13.7oz as its standard fabric, the newly developed 11.5oz denim is lighter than typical denim and comfortable even in summer, while still maintaining denim’s signature comfort and beautiful fading. It has earned praise from denim enthusiasts as a fabric that “you can’t stop wearing once you put it on.”

For FULLCOUNT fans, this 11.5oz WWII Model release is highly anticipated.

About the Denim Pants

The denim pants are based on FULLCOUNT’s popular wide-silhouette standard model “0105,” incorporating WWII-era details. The fabric is, of course, Japanese selvedge denim made from Zimbabwe cotton, a signature material of the brand. Buttons are newly produced original iron laurel buttons with an arabesque pattern, paired with unbranded punched rivets and randomly used deadstock indigo herringbone pocket lining—covering the full range of WWII-period details.

One characteristic of WWII models is their “rough stitching,” which is part of their vintage charm. In this release, however, the pants feature strong thread tension to emphasize puckering while maintaining durability. Stitching colors are arranged with yellow-tone gradients for indigo denim, while black denim and ecru (white denim) use tonal stitching to balance enthusiast-level detail with everyday wearability.

The reason for the “rough stitching” in WWII-era jeans was that many skilled workers were assigned to military uniform production, so jeans were often sewn by less-experienced workers.

The vintage-processed hand-wash model, “Master of Reality,” is a special version created by craftsmen who have long handled FULLCOUNT’s fading processes. Rusted buttons are used to reproduce aging, and hand-applied sun-fade effects are added throughout, resulting in a meticulously finished processed model.

About the Denim Jacket

The denim jacket is based on FULLCOUNT’s standard “2107 Type 1,” also known as the “1st,” with WWII-inspired details. The body length is designed 1 cm shorter than the standard model, and the button count is reduced from five to four. Sizes 44 and up feature a center back seam known as a “T-back.”

Like the pants, the jacket uses 100% Zimbabwe cotton Japanese fabric and incorporates period details such as original iron laurel buttons, unbranded punched rivets, and a back cinch. Sewing also emphasizes puckering with strong thread tension. Stitching colors follow the same scheme as the pants: yellow-tone gradients for indigo and tonal stitching for black and ecru.

Numerous other differences from the standard model highlight the special nature of this limited edition.

Colors and Finishes

Both pants and jackets are available in multiple fabric colors, washes, and finishes. The vintage hand-wash “Master of Reality” versions are special editions crafted by FULLCOUNT’s long-time fading specialists.

  • Indigo Blue: one-wash, non-wash, and vintage-processed (3 variations)

  • Black Denim (first appearance in the WWII Model): one-wash, non-wash, vintage-processed (3 variations)

  • Ecru White Denim (also a first): one-wash and non-wash (2 variations, scheduled for August 2026 release)

Each model will be sold in a special box.

For both pants and jackets, Indigo Blue and Black (one-wash and non-wash) will be available starting February 27, 2026.
